The Flexible New Deal Scandal network is pleased to announce the launch of our Flexible New Deal search engine.
Why a search engine?
Yes, Google exists but for example it is full of not so relevant content i.e. any providers’ official website isn’t going to be honest about Flexible New Deal, however, it is likely to rank better than smaller and newer websites (older sites rank better).
We want to present to you the facts about Flexible New Deal and welfare reform without having to search and search and search the internet. Whether you started a blog yesterday about your own experiences or whether you have been going for some time, we want to pick the important parts and filter the nonsense.
What does the search engine bot/spider show as?
The User agent string is: “Flexible New Deal (+http://www.flexiblenewdeal.biz)” Please Note: This has nothing to do with the Government or any Flexible New Deal contractors.
What sites are contained in the search?
The search engine is in BETA so might only show a few websites. You can expect the following:
- All Flexible New Deal scandal websites (including newdealscandal, flexible-new-deal.co.uk etc.)
- Ipswich Unemployed Action
- Provider focused sites i.e. watching a4e
- Personal blogs about experiences (unemployedrabbit, inflexiblenewdeal)
It may take a while for spidered pages to be included in the index. Sites which may appear to be listed might not include all of their site – in fact, rarely over half would be included, as the search engine will only pick up on what it see as relevant. The search engine will not return more than 30 results per a keyword search.
The search engine balances up-to-date content with popular (but typically older). All feedback about it will be appreciated. The Flexible New Deal Sanction Register will be included in it when launched.
Content may be limited until the new year.
How do I search the search engine? Where do I find it?
The web address is http://www.flexiblenewdeal.biz/Search/flexible+new+deal.fnd
Once you clicked on the above link you may choose another keyword or phrase to search for (search term).
The search engine is designed so you will be shown upto 2 results per each indexed site ordered by relevance – to look further per each site click the appropriate link where the search engine will return up to 30 pages ordered by relevance.
If you change a search term it will take you back (i.e. you can’t directly search in the same site) – not a bug, it is intentional. Google etc remains far superior – use that if you prefer. It is intended to bring in traffic to the websites. Hope you find it useful! Feel free to leave new website suggestions – some included sites might be automatically picked up and not entirely manually added.
